We had another good visit with Connor tonight. He was getting a blood transfusion when we got there to help his breathing by boosting his hemoglobin.
His PEEP setting on his ventilator was lowered from 10 to 9 to prevent bloat in his tummy again. They say the CPAP mask can add alot of bloat in his tummy because some of the air he breathes in through the mask goes down his esophagus instead of just going down his trachea like with the endotracheal tube.
Fortifiers were added to his milk today so he should start gaining weight at a faster rate.
