Had a nice long visit with Connor today. Was offered a cuddle but the nurse went for lunch, came back and then had to help another baby boy that was having some trouble so we ran out of time. :( We try to cuddle for a minimum of one hour because it takes so much work to get Connor in and out of his isolette and hooked back up to all the monitors and stable and settled again. At least he is stable enough that the nurses consider him to be lower priority now. :)
He got reweighed last night and came in at 1070 grams. He is still taking his 12 ml feeds well. The team from the Infectious Disease department brought some prescription cream for the cellulitis on his legs but when they looked at them, they said he didn't need any cream because it didn't look bad enough. :) These tough little NICU babies go from one hurdle to the next like it is nothing. Wait until he is older. He will be invincible! :)
Someone also placed a new Christmas decoration on his IV pole. :)
