Connor is three weeks corrected age now and is doing well at home. We had quite the busy week with all of his appointments. He had a meet and greet with our family doctor, an RSV vaccine booster at Mac, eye exam at Mac, and a pediatrician appointment. This week we only have another vaccine appointment and an eye follow up.

Connor's ROP is stable at Stage 2, Zone 2 in both eyes but we still have weekly exams for the time being. His incision from his hernia is completely healed and he can now have regular baths in his whale tub. No more sponge baths! He loves bath time. :)

Although he is doing well and has some vaccine immunity for some viruses, we have still been advised by his team of doctors and nurses to limit the number of visitors as much as possible and avoid large groups of people and busy places like malls, churches, and grocery stores. The last thing we want is for him to catch a cold and flare up his chronic lung disease and have to bring him back to McMaster. This really sucks because we have been waiting so long to introduce him to our friends, family and neighbours and we are so proud of him.

He seems to like being home because he had gained 6 ounces in 6 days since his discharge date from Mac when he saw the pediatrician! He has also become best buddies with Cooper, who is now Connor's shadow. We often find Coop checking up on Connor when he is sleeping or if he makes noises from his crib. He also likes to try and lick his face when he starts getting fussy. So proud of Coop. :)

  1. Oh I'm so glad you are going to continue to give us updates now that you are home. I was getting little withdrawal pangs :-)

Bet Connor loves being at home! less poking and prodding and more just chilling with Coop.
