We FINALLY brought Connor home from the hospital today. It's been 122 days but who's counting? Mike and I spent the last two nights in a Care By Parent room at Mac, taking care of Connor on our own (without monitors too), and everything went great. It was a pretty emotional couple of days saying goodbye to the NICU team and other parents that we have befriended along the way.
Mike's dad met us at home with Cooper, who was more excited than anyone to meet his new little brother and best bud. We couldn't even get Connor out of the car without Coop giving the carseat licks of approval.
We had a lovely afternoon relaxing on the couch together, snuggling and snoozing.
Connor made the ultimate comeback.
TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER. :)

ReplyDeleteConnor looks so cute at home, on the couch with his new friend. No wires ... just a chubby, happy little baby. From an isolated crib to a million new things to learn about.
Now on to just a happy, normal family life. Congratulations Connor ... Congratulations Mike and Michelle.
