He weighs 3113 grams (6 pounds, 14 ounces), which is almost five times his birth weight of 655 grams.
He is doing really well on 2-3 oral feeds per day. All of the other feeds are given by his nasogastric tube. He is continuing to build up his stamina to be able to reduce the number of feeds by tube.
We got some amazing news yesterday. Connor has been booked for surgery this week to repair his inguinal hernia. This means that they are preparing him to go home soon and that he is stable enough to handle non-emergency surgery. The surgery takes half an hour and he will go back to the Level 3 NICU post-op.
He has another eye exam tomorrow night. He also had more visitors this week, including snuggles with his grandpa, uncle and aunt and for the first time! :)

What a happy picture of Connor.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the feeding and hernia surgery... he is almost ready to pack up and leave Joseph Brant behind!
OMG he just looks so adorable! Looks like a little GQ pose in there.
