Connor is 12 weeks old today (corrected gestational age is -4 weeks) and weighs 5 pounds, 1 ounce. His feeds have increased to 46 mL every three hours to keep up with his weight gain. He will be discontinued from the individualized milk fortification study so his growth may slow down a bit.
He is still making strides with his breathing and, as long as he continues to do well on his current settings, his PEEP (pressure) setting will be decreased to 5.0 tomorrow! This is the final step before removing the CPAP and switching to high flow oxygen through a nasal cannula.
Connor actually ripped off his CPAP mask this morning and was doing well without before the nurse noticed and hooked it back up. :)
