Today is your very first birthday. Daddy and I are so in awe of you and the amazing person you have become. One year ago, you and your sister Quinn were born far too early but you were both very determined and strong. We still miss Quinn every day but you have taught us so much about strength and love. Together we have beaten brain bleeds, sepsis, infection, anemia, reflux, hernia repairs, ROP, concussion, postpartum depression, anxiety, grief, and so much more. We have still managed to smile every day and you are the reason. All those worries that we had one year ago have mostly melted away because you are a survivor and we know now that you can handle more than anyone we know. Daddy and I never knew we could love anyone so fiercely as we love you and your sister. Please keep smiling. Keep being silly and brave. Always do your best, try new things and don't be afraid to make mistakes. We love you more than anything and we are so lucky to have you with us today. Happy birthday Connor! We love you to the moon and back.
