He had a full day of appointments at McMaster last week and he is doing very well considering his bumpy start to life. His eyes are still stable regarding the Retinopathy of Prematurity. The right eye is 100% vascularized and the left is still 95%. The specialist said it may never reach 100% but he is doing very well and has no issues with his vision so far and has grown out of the eye-crossing (common in all babies, regardless of length of gestation).
His growth and development team report that he is meeting or exceeding all of his developmental milestones. However, he has fallen a little behind on his head circumference and weight and is now between the 5th and 10th percentiles on the preemie growth charts. To give him a boost, we are supplementing his milk with formula once per day so he can take in some extra calories and we will recheck his growth in one month. He also started eating baby cereals once per day and he loves them!
We got to show Connor some new experiences like his first boat ride on Horseshoe Lake and first time swimming in a pool. This kid seems to love everything he is exposed to!

OMG he is a happy little guy. Great progress. Yeah Connor.
